Tragically, Dr. Mel French died on June 7, 2024. For the time being, his bio will remain a part of this website In Memoriam.

Dr. French was a licensed Clinical Psychologist in Missouri and in Illinois. He was also a Board Certified Diplomate-Fellow in Clinical Psychopharmacology, a Board Certified Diplomate in Medical Psychology, a Fellow of the American College of Advanced Practice Psychologists, a Fellow of the American College of Forensic Examiners, and a Certified-Advanced Addictions Counselor.

Starting in 1978, Dr. French worked in a variety of mental health and substance abuse treatment settings. His areas of expertise included: Medical & Health Psychology, Psychopharmacology, Preschool & Early-Childhood Intervention, Child & Adolescent Psychology, Attention Deficit Disorders, Downs/MR/DD Issues, Family and Marital Therapy, Bariatric & Obesity Psychology, Forensic Psychology, Alcohol/Drug Mis-Use Counseling, and Geriatric Psychology.

Dr. French’s knowledge, experience, joviality, and kindness will be missed.
